Anna Sofia’s “Self Aware Bitch” is Out Now

After receiving critical acclaim and tallying over 2 million cumulative streams, Anna Sofia releases her debut Self Aware Bitch EP today. In addition, she has also released the official music video for the song’s title track “Self Aware Bitch” which shows Anna tackling dodgeball try-outs and school drama with a twist ending.

The project was primarily produced by rising producer Jeff Hazin with Grammy® nominated producer Frank Dukes (Taylor Swift, The Weeknd, Post Malone) lending his talents to the song “Self Aware Bitch.” A triad of successful singles set the stage for the six-song EP. On the heels of Meaner Girl and I Tryshe closed out 2019 with the buzzing No Fun. Streamed nearly half-a-million times on SpotifyOnesToWatch claimed, “The charming single is a pleasant introducer to her forthcoming EP, Self Aware Bitch and dubbed it “an impactful introverted anthem.

On the EP, Anna Sofia said: “Self Aware Bitch is a representation of my high school experience. My whole life in high school revolves around homework, parties, drama, experimenting, and finding yourself – that’s what I love to write about.  I had a lot of fun making this EP. I love it when I finally get a good melody down on something I really vibe with, and then figuring out how that makes me feel and how I want to say it.  When listening to it I hope people can find a way to relate to it either by thinking back to their own high school days, using it to prepare for high school, or relating it back to their current high school experience. At the end of the day, everyone’s experience is unique but the message I’d like people to take away is to always stay true to yourself. Be unapologetically you, and don’t let anyone change you. Cut those people off!!!!”

Elsewhere on the tracklisting, she sends a heartfelt message with Waste My Time With You whose lyrics plead for the affection of another and opener “Self Aware Bitch” serves as something of a call-to-arms with its clever and catchy empowerment. In addition, Bad Day co-produced Kid Bloom brings blunt lyrics over a serious beat and ends the EP leaving the listener wanting more.
