Juice WRLD may have had visions of a future locked up, because he apparently on the radar of federal agents since at least last month where it seems that’s when an initial private jet search took place.
TMZ reports that Juice’s first run-in with the feds went down on November 18th at LAX, when Customs Agents performed a search as the rapper and his entourage were boarding their flight bound for Sydney, Australia.
Drug-sniffing dogs were all over Juice, his crew, and their luggage. No word on what if anything was found — but the plane was eventually allowed to take off with Juice on board.
As was reported … Homeland Security agents, operating under an FBI task force, searched Juice WRLD’s private jet early Sunday morning when it landed at Chicago’s Midway Airport.
In that search, the feds confiscated 70 lbs. of marijuana and 3 handguns. Juice WRLD was then suffer a fatal — after ingesting several “unknown pills” according to someone in his entourage. Speculation indicates that Juice may have done that in an effort to conceal the pills from authorities.
As for why the feds made a move on the rapper’s late-night flight to Chicago … it may have had something to do with what they were able to get during the LAX search. Additionally, the pilot had reported Juice’s bodyguards for having handguns — which is a violation if they’re not packed properly, or if the bodyguard doesn’t have a permit.
UPDATE: Chicago PD is now in running the case of the seized marijuana. They has possession of the stash, and will now handle that part of the investigation.
Both the FBI and CPD have jurisdiction at Midway Airport, but the FBI has kicked this down to the local authorities.
