Superplastic and DJ Whoo Kid Unveil Limited Edition “Whoo Army” Vinyl Toy

Premier designer toy and synthetic celebrity brand Superplastic has partnered with legendary G-Unit Records DJ and Shade 45 Sirius XM host, DJ Whoo Kid, to launch a new limited-edition Superplastic X “Whoo Army” toy. The unique partnership is the next in Superplastic’s X vinyl toy series featuring collaborations with the world’s top musicians, fashion designers, artists, and celebrities.

To celebrate the launch, Superplastic and Whoo Kid are hosting a pre-release party starting at 7 o’clock pm on December 4 at the famous NYC club, 1-Oak. Only 300 toys will be available for purchase at the event at $25 each. Whoo Kid and friends will cap this event with a private performance for VIPs and fans.

The 3-inch soft vinyl toy features Whoo Kid’s iconic “Whoo Army” gold plated hat, staff, and fresh peach kicks. 

“DJ Whoo Kid and I have inspired each other for years, and I’m blown away by the opportunity to finally work with him on a designer toy,” says founder and CEO, Paul Budnitz.

“My matrix was to either have a toy or a cartoon repping my image. Superplastic and Paul gave me the blue pill,” commented Whoo Kid.

Budnitz is often credited with popularizing the art toy movement around the world and is also well known as co-creator of synthetic celebrities Janky and Guggimon.

For those not able to attend the pre-release event, Superplastic X “Whoo Army” vinyl toys will go on sale at superplastic.co on December 5th retailing for $25. Only in 1000 made.
