Looks like the alleged victim in the A$AP Rocky assault case was telling the truth about being chokeslammed by his bodyguard, because that footage has now been released, and it makes what the prosecution is doing even more suspect.
This video was captured before the street brawl broke out, and before the alleged victim, Mustafa Jafari, threw a punch at the bodyguard. It shows the bodyguard grabbing Jafari by his throat, lifting him off the ground and tossing him down the street.
Yet with this video evidence, that presumably the prosecution had already (they boasted about having more footage than what was online at the time), why not charge the bodyguard as well? When prosecutors announced Jafari would not be charged for punching the bodyguard, they said he was acting in self-defense. Yet you don’t charge the person he was defending himself against?
Moments after the choking, Jafari swung at the bodyguard and then hit him with his headphones.
During Tuesday’s testimony in court, Jafari said he thought he was going to die during the brawl. Rocky’s lawyers will have the chance to question him when the trial resumes on Thursday.
