Before Shiggy’s In My Feelings Challenge, inspired by and centered around Drake’s new hit record by the same name, took the internet by storm, King Ice’s team was in the midst of planning Chief Keef’s summer album release party for his new album Mansion Musick.
The celebrity jewelry brand revealed the joint jewelry line known as the Glo Gang collection at the rapper’s “Mansion Musick” album release party in L.A.
That night the samples from the collection were stolen at the party, the next morning the jewelry heist was highlighted on The Shade Room as well as other online gossip and/or Hip Hop publications. The comment section was filled with Keef fans as well as Tekashi69 fans as the tension increased between the two rappers due to their ongoing rap beef.
“Glo Gang”, the collaborative collection, launched on July 12th at that release party, and is the inspiration behind what is slated to become the next huge viral internet sensation.
The Who Got Bars? Challenge is a call to action challenging rappers, emcees, lyricists and Hip Hop enthusiasts to bring their best bars backed by Chief Keef instrumentals for a chance to win $500 to spend online at KingIce.com. The freestyle would have to mention “Glo Gang” or Chief Keef to be considered.
Every social media post shared by participants would need to include three hashtags, “Mansion Musick,” “King Ice,” as well as the “Who Got Bars” hashtag so the posts can be found and entered into the contest. The winner of the $500 prize will be selected on August 27th on King Ice and Chief Keef’s Instagram pages.
