Tekashi 6ix9ine Has Felony Assault On Officer Reduced to Misdemeanor

One of Tekashi 6ix9ine’s weirdest charges has been reduced to a misdemeanor. TMZ reports Tekashi’s felony assault on an officer charge was reduced to a basic misdemeanor assault charge. Tekashi was facing up to 7 years in prison before. Now, he’s just facing up to a year in jail.

As we reported, 6ix9ine was booked for assaulting a police officer earlier this year after a traffic stop quickly escalated. Cops say he was being taken into custody when he allegedly squeezed a lieutenant’s hand very hard, causing it to swell.

The alleged injuries were not severe enough to warrant a felony charge, so prosecutors decided to reduce it.

It’s good news for 6ix9ine, as he’s already got his hands full in Texas for a misdemeanor for roughing up a teen in a shopping mall.
