Kodak Black dodged some serious jail time for violating his probation, as he’s been sentenced to one year in prison. He was facing up to 12 years in prison following a raid on his Florida home, which turned up guns and drugs. The home was raided after an Instagram Live video showed Kodak, who is on probation, and his toddler son walking around guns and drugs.
But according to court documents from the case, Kodak plead guilty to two probation violations, including driving on a suspended license and “associating with people committing crimes.”
Due to time served, Kodak has already served 90 days on his sentence, but with good behavior he could be released as early as October. His lawyer, Bradford Cohen, commented on the sentence, writing, “Just completely resolved @KodakBlack1k case. The State and Judge were professional and fair. I am happy not just for a client, but for a friend. There are great things in store for him, and he is glad to have this behind him.”
