The contentious battle between NaS and Kelis over their eight-year-old song Knight continues as they couldn’t agree on the visitation during the Easter/Passover holiday. The Shade Room reports NaS filed papers in court application requesting for Kelis to be punished for her refusal to let him see their son. Kelis contends, their son wanted to stay with her during the Spring holiday, which prompted NaS to respond that it was, “his weekend plain and simple, holiday or not.”
The Queens Hip Hop legend also contends, this was not the first time Kelis unlawfully refused visitation with their boy, with one time NaS going to her house to get their son, and her screaming at him that he couldn’t take him. He was also unable to pick their son from school a few times either.
These alleged breaches in their agreement has led NaS to demand Kelis pay him $22,000 for all lawyers’ fees accrued. Who knows when this latest chapter in their messy custody battle will be closed, but it’s obvious both sides are in this fight for the long haul.
