adidas today unveils the 2018 Boston Marathon® LTD edition of the newly redesigned adiZero Boston 7.

The adidas adizero Boston 7 is a neutral trainer with an updated design that takes inspiration from the adiZero Adios with added lightweight support, comfort and cushioning for training runs. The limited edition includes iconic B.A.A. (Boston Athletic Association) blue and yellow colorways with a Boston Marathon® unicorn marking on the heel and the official B.A.A. logo on the tongue. Boston landmarks cover the removable sock liner.

The silhouette’s performance improvements are centered around making the athlete faster with more versatile and supportive materials while maintaining the same fit and feel. Updates include adidas’ lightest engineered mesh on the forefoot that allows more breathability with the same support and light mesh on the quarter and heel reduce weight. The tongue and heel are redesigned based on insights from ARAMIS motion-capture testing. A symmetrical energy rail works with Boost to increase stability and a Stretchweb Continental® rubber outsole adapts to every foot strike and provides superior grip.

“Becoming faster is an incremental, painstakingly detailed process and that insight was the inspiration behind every design detail,” said Jim Jennings, running category director for adidas. “The new adizero Boston 7 is for the discerning runner who demands consistency, credibility and craftsmanship.”

Boost cushioning technology excels in comfort and energy return and is attributed to more than 130 major marathon and half marathon wins.

The adizero Boston 7 2018 Boston Marathon® edition will be available for $120 starting March 23rd at adidas.com and the Boston Marathon® adidas RunBase and at the 2018 John Hancock Sports & Fitness Expo starting April 13th. Other colorways will be available in June. For other 2018 Boston Marathon® apparel and accessories, visit adidas.com.
