Before his untimely demise to gunshots back in June, 51-year-old rapper and former Zulu Nation member Grandmaster TC Izlam, alleged he’d been receiving threats from members and affiliates of the Nation after he resigned from the group and refused to help with damage control of Afrika Bambaataa’s molestation scandal.
According to NOISEY, as part of an interview he gave film maker Leila Wills, TC feared for his life. “He [TC] sent me through all kind of rigors before I could meet with him and before he would give me his address. He was constantly watching his back,” Willis told NOISEY. “TC said he had received numerous death threats via phone calls from what he described as ‘Bambaataa’s fan club.’ He said the threats accused him of disloyalty to ‘the Father,’ and that he would ‘end up in a box.’” As the threats continued to pour in, TC left New York and traveled to Massachusetts and Connecticut before ending up in Atlanta where he was killed.
