Canadian rapper P-Reign prepares to release follow up video to his single "Money in my pocket." Directed by Juno award-nominated Davin Black of 235 Films. The shoot took place on Monday, August 23rd in P Reign’s neighborhood of Galloway in Toronto. P-Reign’s first video "You Know I’m Fly" was released in 2007 as a street and online viral tool. With zero marketing other than word of mouth, the video reached #1 on Punch Much, an interactive site where viewers from across Canada vote for their favorite videos. He decided to bring "Money In My Pocket" back to where he grew up with a storyline that many can respect and appreciate.

Produced by Bassline, a long time friend and producer, who also appears on the hook, the song is a melodic rendition of P-Reign’s life as a young artist in the music business. The video, due to come out in September, is a clever interpretation of that same concept. "This song has reached new heights for me as an artist," says P-Reign. "The airplay and club play it has received so far has been tremendous and I only hope the video will take it even further. Davin is a great director and I am certain he will bring the song to life with the video."

Shot in the Kingston and Galloway area of Toronto, also known as "G-way", it was important for P-Reign to go back to the neighborhood where he was raised. Many dream of achieving great heights and being able to reach beyond the negativity that plagues the areas from which they hail. Of the very few that actually make it out, even fewer come back. P Reign understands the importance of embracing his beginnings and the impact that role models can have on youth that look up to them. The video depicts such ideas and also allows for the viewer to get a glimpse of P-Reign’s character as an individual and as a musician.

Currently P-Reign is touring across Canada opening and performing with artists such as Drake [a very close friend], Young Money, Keri Hilson, T-Pain, Young Jeezy, Flo Rida, Rick Ross, Bobby Valentino, Yung Joc and many others. His single "Money In My Pocket" can be heard on FM and college radio across the country.
