Most have seen the infamous footage of Akon throwing a boy of stage. Some of us thought, "why did he get on stage, after throwing something at Akon," while others laughed. Apparently, a Fishkill judge failed to see the humor as today, a December court date has been set on harassment and endangerment charges in regards to that incident.
The incident began at Dutchess Stadium in Fishkill, NY where 15-year-old Anthony Smith threw something at Akon while he was onstage. Akon then asked for the person to be pointed out. A security guard would then drag Smith onstage where Akon proceeded to pick him up and throw him into the crowd, where he struck a woman.
The AP reports that Akon's trial has been set for December 1st and if convicted, he could face one year and fifteen behind bars. Both parties however, are hoping to settle this out of court before the December 1st trial date.
Probation will save the day.
