Felicia Pearson, who played the popular character "Snoop" on the critically acclaimed series, The Wire was arrested on minor drug charges Wednesday, after being detained for not cooperating as witness in a murder trial. Members of Baltimore's Murder Unit went to Snoop's house in Northeast Baltimore with a "body attachment" warrant, which they were able to use to arrest her.

Once they were inside, they found two cigars filled with what they suspected was marijuana along with marijuana residue. Baltimore PD may keep Snoop inb jail until September 16th, when Steven James Lashley, an associate of hers begins his trial for murder.

Lashley is accused of stabbing three men, one fatally in defense of Snoop outside New York Fried Chicken in Baltimore. The incident started when Snoop got into a verbal altercation with Tyrell Roseborough over refusal of his advances inside the eatery. The incident escalated outside the restaurant and turned physical, where Lashley pulled out a knife and stabbed Rosebrough and 2 of his associates, killing one.

Snoop has already spoken to investigators and told them that she had no involvement in the stabbing. “He [Roseborough] ain’t try to flirt with me or no [shit] like that,” Pearson told investigators. “It was so tight in there...I’m like what [shit] man get out of my face.”

The Baltimore Sun reported, that a warrant was issued for Snoop on July 1st, after she missed a court appearance on April 21st. She has also avoided phone calls from prosecutors about the trial.

Snoop is also no stranger to the penal system, already serving an eight year prison sentence for the murder of Okia "Kia" Toomer during a dispute at the age of 14. She has documented her life, in a book titled Grace After Midnight.
