Hov Wants A Piece Of The Yankees

Despite already having stake in the New Jersey Nets, it looks like Hip Hop Mogul Sean "Jay-Z" Carter may be looking into investing in America's favorite past time, and is looking to buy shares into the New York Yankees.

Along with shares in the New Jersey Nets, Jay-Z also has his sports club franchise 40/40, so he is no stranger to making investments. Just recently, he singed a $150 million dollar deal with Live Nation, as well as an advertising company with Steve Stout.

Jay had also been in talks to invest in a soccer team based in London "Arsenal Football Club" but the deal never happened. "I had invested in the Nets, and they (Arsenal bosses) asked me if I was interested in investing. But I get that from time to time," Jay told London's Time Out magazine. "Someone told me yesterday that someone else had a piece of the New York Yankees, 'We wanna talk to you, yadda yadda yadda.' I mean, I love the Yankees so I'm in the middle of following that through, but sometimes it comes to be nothing. That (Arsenal) was one of the times it came to nothing."
